Aldehyde, Benzoin, Clementine, Everlasting flower, Galbanum, Gardenia, Hyacinth, Jasmine, Lavender, Leather, Oakmoss, Plum, Rose, Tolu balsam
A unique chypre fragrance with a floral-aldehyde beginning and a rich balsamic sillage, created by the genius Bertrand Duchaufour, is designed to remind us of the origins of the Roman Empire, which originated on the Palatine Hill, where ancient Rome is said to have been founded. The Latin name Palatium is associated with the name of the goddess Pales, the guardian of cattle, to whom gifts and offerings were brought on the Palatine Hill. With the expansion of the city, the hill became a place of residence for aristocrats and the rich. The famous marble House of Augustus, built by Emperor Augustus, has survived to this day. The palaces of Tiberius, Caligula, Flavius and Domitian, which soon appeared in the neighborhood, with luxurious fountains, imperial apartments, columned and throne halls, bursting with decoration, forever strengthened the word Palatium in all European languages as a synonym for a palace. It entered the Russian language as "chamber".
Opulent. Sumptuous. Imperial: Palatine Cyprus could be compared to brocades or to a rare fur such as zibeline fitted for a Tsar.
It is perfect for daily wear, sophisticated, warm, precious but easy and discrete. Of an unusual elegance.
