"The smell of ambergris, the base ingredient for classic oriental perfumes, has long been enriched with vanilla and sandalwood, embellished with spices, underpinned with musk, made seductive and ready for consumption, and we are all used to it, but this is no longer the first hypostasis of ambergris. Perfume - meaning "through smoke", the name comes from the aromatic materials that were burned to purify the air as well as the spirit. L'Air du Desert Marocain is the creation of talented self-taught perfumer Andy Tower. There is something special about the smell of ancient incense (styrax, incense). Even without knowing the name of this fragrance, breathing it in, I will still feel the peace that I have only felt once when driving through the deserts of the American Southwest in the morning, complete silence, no human presence, the inverted bowl of heaven infinitely high above me, only sage and quail over the brown earth. Each individual object seemed overflowing with itself, filled to the brim, ready to spill out at the slightest push. Wear this scent, and you will feel the cloudless sky rise above you."
